How it works

01

Upload a portrait

Use a recent, front-facing photo against a plain background, ideally taken in even light.

02

Choose your document's country

Pixformet applies the exact millimeter or inch specification and exports at 300 DPI print resolution.

03

Download or print a full sheet

Get a single ready-to-upload photo, or a 6×4in sheet tiled with multiple copies for a photo printer.

Frequently asked

Will this photo definitely be accepted by the passport office?

The size matches official specifications, but rules on expression, glasses, head covering and lighting vary by country and change over time — always check your government's current photo guidelines before submitting.

What does the background option do?

It replaces the area outside your crop with a flat white or gray fill; it does not remove or replace the background behind your head within the photo itself. For that, use the Background Remover tool first.

What resolution do I get?

Every export is generated at 300 DPI, the standard resolution photo labs and passport offices expect for print.
